The Florida United Methodist Children's Home was established in 1908 to provide a home for orphans and other children that had nowhere else to live. Today it serves as a diverse ministry with two campuses that include residential, therapeutic group, foster and emergency shelter care. The Home also provides independent living assistance and a community child care center.
The Plantation UMC family of faith has faithfully supported the Children's Home for many years. Periodically, a group will visit the Children's Home to see firsthand the ministry that takes place there. Our last trip was in March 2018, and it was a wonderful experience!
The Children's Home also has a foster care program in Broward County. Click here to download the foster care brochure. Click here to watch a video about being a foster care parent!
