Plantation United Methodist Women (UMW)

The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of missions through participation in the global ministries of the church.

We are part of an international organization of over 1 million women. We are committed to ministry within the church and to mission in our community and around the world. Our small groups offer women the unique blessing to connect with a supportive community in the church. Whether it's a weekly bible/book study, a monthly discussion group, dinner with friends, or quilting, we can find a place for you!

Plantation United Methodist Women supports a variety of missions for women and children in our community and around the globe. Our monetary contributions to mission come from member pledges and proceeds from our Spring Rummage Sale. Our mission dollars "cross the street" to support UMCOR (the United Methodist Committee on Relief) in the Philippines, UMCOR against human trafficking, Donors Choose (2 Broward County Schools), Hope Women's Center, Redbird, Generations of Hope, Women in Distress, Plantation United Methodist Preschool, Kids at Play (Plantation's daycare), and Plantation UMC's Children's Ministry.
